Hi, just started collecting lizards and just joined the forum 1 game 1 win at the moment.

I was wondering if anyone has had any succes in using the priest as a vassel and with what lore was your Slann using?

I can see them being useful but thats about it as all you can cast through them is magic missles if you could cast Penumbral Pendulum and other direct damage channeling could be a viable tactic to use.
Does any one have any comments?

i think you pretty much summed it up there, because you can only channel magic missles, and all of the really dangerous spells are direct damage/vortexes, it's pretty useless.

I disagree. If your slann is not within range to use the lower casting value of a magic missle (Banishment in lore of light), you could vasal the spell to gain the extra range (as long as the priest was within range). Against a daemon or undead enemy, that would be huge!

One tactic that some have had success with is to fly a priest (with the cloak of feathers) to the side of a cavalry unit and cast the Amber Spear (via channelling/vassal) into their flank. Now the penetrating Magic Missile has the potential to take out several expensive cavalry models instead of just the one per rank that a frontal shot would.

This is probably not as popular with the move away from cavalry and the relative unpopularity of Lore of Beasts, but it is still viable.
