8th Ed. skrox horde with 6 kroxigor

i'm considering to play a massive skrox unit against dwarves, but if i play six kroxigors in a 10 wide skink unit (3 kroxigor in the 2° and 3° rank, 3 in the 4° and 5°) can all the kroxigor attack?
i think yes, because kroxigors in the 4° and 5° rank have only two models in front of them, so technically they're in the third rank, and because of the horde formation they can attack

I'm not completely certain, but I was under the impression that Krox had to be in the second rank.

Kroxigor have to go directly behind the first rank of skinks "second rank"'. (lizardmen rule book)
since the kroxigors are an upgrade to the skink unit, and since there is no
such thing as a 1/2 rank, ranks are determined by skink base size.

If you realy want a big unit of kroxogor you can take them on their own,
then you would get the stomp attacks and the 3 support attacks from the second rank.

I have a just for fun list prepared with 18 krox ready to go in horde formation. I don't expect to win. My friends and I are playing a "gimmick list" night here coming up where we can play with the less conventional army lists . Should be fun.
