8th Ed. Skrox Units - When the skinks all die

    Had this some up on a recent game and wanted to get your thoughts.
    If you start with a 24 skinks and 3 kroxigors and all 24 skinks (including command die) what do you have left
    a) A monsterous infantry kroxigor unit 3 strong with no ranks
    b) A unique Skrox unit with two ranks

    Its a big difference for the rank bonus and for the use of regrowth, regrowth says that command models are regrown first so would you stick the champ and stand and musician back and slide the kroxigors back?

    Thoughts?

    Most likely option "A".
    "B" seems a bit too rules lawyerly to be true.

    I agree with n810. For gameplay purposes go with option A - it becomes a unit of monstrous infantry.

    But for regrowth I would think you would have to resurrect the Skinks since that's what the unit was comprised of originally. Plus there's the whole command model statement in the regrowth rules that you pointed out. So Skink command first, then pick and choose for regular Skinks or Krox wounds.

    Yeah A) is probably most reasonable.
    I'd fight to get my skink rez allowed though

    Here's a related question. Would the Kroxigor members of a Skrox block be able to use their Stomps once forced into base contact with the enemy or not?

    When the Kroxigors have a base to base contact, they can use their stomps.
