When you give your Slaan Higher State of Consciousness does it mean hecan only be hurt/take wounds from spells or magical weapons?

carefull tough, even if swords and spears pass through him in close combat, if he loses the combat and flee the same swords and spears chop him up real good. your slann can not hold a unit for an entire game just because he can't be wounded, i tryed this, TK skelletons had some nice static back in 7th.(probably now aswell)

No, he doesn't crumble like undead. He has to roll a break test to see if he runs away.

Crown of command to make him stubborn, plus the banner of dominance (I think that is what it is called) to give him +1 leadership for a total of 10 means he will be stubborn LD10 with cold-blooded re-rolls which, while not technically being unbreakable does come as close to it as you can ever get.

That's how you hold up a block of 50 sea guard for an entire game...
