skink cohort units don't perform well at that size... i would drop them for more Sarus or temple guard. i also advise getting that Slann to put in those temple guard. and if you have the models, i would drop the 5 sarus cavalry for more Kroxigors. you really want that rank bonus to break enemy formations and get all those S7 supporting attacks. the Kroxigor are also much tougher than the Sarus cavalry. i also reccommend getting a Salamander or 2... those things murder massed infantry formations
Dont drop the cohorts just drop them to 10's. 50 points for a redirector that can move infront, shoot, stand and fire with poison, then their parry saves can make them very annoying. Amazing units =)
I go with 12's, because I mostly face 25mm opponents. The 2 extra shots, 2 extra stand and fires and 2 extra attacks adds up. Anyhow, the cohorts and skinks got dropped, not because I didn't want them, but because I wanted 2 fighting blocks, and core is the only space for points. I want as many targets as possible for lore of beast to keep the casting values lower, which is why I've got 4 cav/monstrous cav characters, 3 monsters, and 1 cav unit. Battle Report coming soon. -Matt
