The Lore Attribute thing of Lore of Death allows the Wizard to swap places with a friendly character after a spell. But does a Slann get to use this ability if he's in a unit of Temple Guard?
You're thinking of shadow, and no, once he's in TG he can't leave until the unit is completely destroyed.
even if it would be legal would you really want to say to your opponent "HA! Now you fight my other Slann, wich is allmost as powerfull as the one you were fighting..... and costs 10 points less!"
My bad on it being the Lore of Shadow and not Death. But think! In large games you could have a Slann with Shadow and a Slaan with Death, and then cast the shadow guy first, then swap him with the Death guy to do lots of damage that wouldn't be expected.
it would supriese the oponent, but in large enough games the death slann will probably be in range for his own spells, and even if not, you really want to keep swiching slanns? it seems like too much effort for a 1 time surpise and then maybe confusing the oponent. he'll want to kill both taods, he probably won't care wich he kills 1st. but indeed its possible, alltough the usefullness is questionable
Hmmm. Interesting tactic. I would assume the Slann could switch places. Seeing as it doesnt break the temple guard rules. I could see the Death Slann being a magic sniper. Plus his attribute helps with the magic phase. (With focus of rumination on each of course). Sniper these characters over here, then jump to the other side of the board and snipe those characters. Fun!
You could definitely do some damage. You could cast purple sun on turn one down your opponents line in theory. You would march both mages down a side then cast shadow steed with your shadow slann and then fly 18 inches (which is the max range you can trade) then swap out to death and then dice spam purple sun. I was actually pondering what you could do with this. The lore of death definitely has the most synergy with the lore of shadow. With the hexes lowering stats and then damage spell with stat checks. I hope to be able to create a post later when I have more time.
