Was playing against a fellow Lizardmen army, and for my Slann I took the Harmonic Convergence. He said I only get the extra two dice for channelling however I saw a clip on you tube and the guy used this and always had an extra two dice whenever he attempted to dispel the enemies magic. Could someone explain how this discipline work?
Normally, each wizard channels 1 die in both magic phases. On a 6, you get a bonus power die (your phase) or bonus dispel die (opponents phase). With Harmonic Convergence, you channel 3 dice in each phase, with each "6" giving you a bonus power/dispel dice. Most people use Convergence with the Channeling Staff, which gives +1 to channel. With that staff, you'd get 3 channel attempts, with each roll of 5+ giving you another power/dispel dice. As normal with power/dispel dice, you are limited to 12 dice in your pool. It is very possible that the guy in the youtube clip was doing it wrong. -Matt
