firstly i have travel many miles from the mountains of Karak Izor via Gyrocopter to get here and i would like to say we have no grudges against your race - yet - so there is no need of conflict (unless, of course, you try and steal my XXXXXX)

one future general i know is of your kind, and he has said that once he reaches 2000pts he will have a Slann mage priest. He has also said it will be protected by about 30 Temple Guards.

as you all know, us dwarfs despise magic (except the mighty runes of our smiths).

will the Slann + TG fall to 30 of our finest Longbeard rangers with support from 16 GW wielding Quarreller rangers?

or will one runed up Grudge Thrower be enough?

in return of any advise you give (alsong as its not false) you may ask me how we would react/ fair against your swams

    Lets see now...
    If the slaan has life:
Your hold will be better off using a flaming grudgethrower instead of Quarrellers to kill the regenerating temple guard at range as they have 3+ armor against shooting, and eventually finish them and the slaan with a hero in a hammerrer unit, prefferebly high streinght but striking before the hammerrers at high streinght so he can wound T8 and also with flaming attacks so then the hamerrers themselves don't have to go trough the regen. Overall it would take some hard work on your part, and a lot of forces. Also avoid big block due to dwellers.

    If the slaan has light:
The Quarrellers would make for better shooting here as a -1 to hit is better than loosing your entire shot on a 4+ with the grudge thrower, combat however will be a whole other beast, tre the slaan can no longer revive dead templeguard and theyre easier to wound on their base T4 but you will likely find it hard to face WS and Init 10 lizards who have ASF and/or are at a -1 to hit. Also Timewarp is priority to stop here it's effect just suck for the dwarves, double movement = less shooting time for you, ASF and one extra attack = Facerape in CC especially with temple guard halberds striking at S5.

Thank you very much for the help so far. i will take your knowledge and be sure to apply it if ever my hold were to have a grudge at you.

I have heard from other holds that they find your race is harder to beat than most of our enemies, so, if ever we meet on the battlefield, i hope i shall have more luck.

i would say may your beards grow ever longer, but being a primitive race and having no beards, i shall leave it at farewell

Well as long as it's no those poncy white lion fellas i have quite an easy role of fighting in my area. Oh how I love the sound of skaven squashing under the stegadons feetsss.

Oh and Mr.Short Bearded Warmblood sorry for collapsing all those caverns on your empire it was a major oversight by your people to stay where our Slann were performing the recallibration of the planet to the old ones plan.

Dear short and bearded failed creation of the old ones.

Though i would generally not work to overthrow my kinsmen I can only assume that this foe of yours have been tainted and must be purged.

Therefor my suggestion to you would be this.

A slann is a master at magic and if he gets to do what he wants you will fight big numbers of T8 regenerating and regrowing enemies. You should use your peoples resistance to magic to its fullest in order to shut his magic down completly. Remember when your doubting wheter you have enough protection that almost one quarter of his armies strength comes from magic.

Secondly you should use as many of your stone-throwers and cannons as possible in order to get rid of his big units and his monsters from affar. Lizards are not all that fast and will take a good pounding from your powerfull machines

I would also sugest that you find a good group of dwarves to destroy the monsters known as salamanders. These flamespouting creatures are the only artillery that our kin uses but it can wreck havoc for most any army.

And finally I will remind you to use our races weaknesses to your advantage. If you have any troops that will attack faster than I1 (couldnt ind a way to describe exact stats in a nice way :) )I would advise you to not drag big and slow weapons into combat that would give a much greater advantage against enemies that were faster than you are anyway.
