with the slann in temple guard, since it is in the 2nd rank can it still cast spells during the magic phase if the TG are in combat?

also is it better to have the slann in TG or saurus warriors? since TG are brutal in combat especially if they charge.

Check the book (i know, i hate when people say that) but I'm 1000% sure the Slann has a special rule for casting (he's supposed to be gaurded after all).

Secondly, TG are unbreakable...so take that for what you want.

Really, you shouldn't be fielding Temple Guard without a Slann. There has been some discussion as to whether the reverse is true, and it's really up to you.
As for the first question, I agree with Giant Stegadon (with a name like that, who wouldn't?).

Much better to have the Slann in Temple Guard, if he is in saurus then he has to be in the front rank and is more exposed and vulnerable, plus as mentioned the TG become unbreakable.

And yeah he can still cast spells.
