8th Ed. Slann with skink bunker?

Hey guys! New user here, though I've browsed the forums for a while now. Just curious, as I haven seen much on this, but would it be viable (or at least somewhat viable) to run a slann in a unit of skink skirmishers? The temple guard are a big points sink in special even with their reduc in the new book. Obviously, you'd want to keep it out of combat, but I'd use it more for a ranged protec bunker. Also, he would still get Los roll with the skinks, as they are both infantry, correct?

Thought about this some, and it would be interesting. He would still get his LoS roll. The only problem is you are limited to movement 4, which might cause some issues getting out of the way of things.

True, but worst comes to worst you can always bail if the unit looks like its gonna be charged. Maybe do some unit hopping? Probably gonna try this, but sadly no one in my area plays except me and my brother. He doesn't want to play that often either If anyone tries this, please let me know how it goes!

I'm thinking this is the way to go. If you are planning on 6-dicing something with the Slann, you can dive him out of the TG into a skirmisher unit, that way miscast damage will be minimal.
