This passage intrigues me:

"The first human invaders to brave the Piranha Swamps around the Amaxon delta met with a grisly end, but not at the teeth of the region's voracious predators. A Lizardman army from the City of the Moon ambushed the raiders as they picked their way through the swamps, for Lord Chuqa-xi had foreseen their coming. This eccentric Slann ordered the intruding warm-bloods captured rather then slain. They were brought to Tlaxtlan, and lobotomized in a bizarre ritual surgery. To this day, lobotomized humans serve in the armies of Tlaxtlan, drooling and incontinent, yet unflinchingly obedient to the will of Lord Chuqa-xi."

Has anyone tried to represent this in game via models? How would you field them? As allied Free Company? As a skink cohort?

Thoughts?
 
 
Ah cool. I've seen a lot of those old Slann models but never the palanquin with slaves. Interesting. Rules-wise, any ideas how you could fit those in with the modern list?
 
As a commander, you have to get used to seeing your troops from behind on the battlefield.

I think I may purchase a box of flagellents and convert them into said slave warriors, fielding them as a skink cohort with a skink 'minder' keeping them going at pace
 
Sounds cool man. I doubt we'll ever get official rules for such things, but using the Skink statline is a pretty good fit (high Initiative is a bit weird but you can get away with that by claiming the Skink points out threats in advance).
 
I was thinking drugs of some sort boosting their adrenaline making them quick via initiative and their high movement. Poor weapon skill and toughness is fine I think as well - they're not meant for the Lustrian climes. It's a fluffy piece for friendly games anyhoo.
 
When I started my army I began to sculpt a unit of these. I was going to use the skavenslave profile.
I have about 5 half done, but haven't looked at them in a year. I quite liked the style I came up with, I had them masked, acting like blinders on a horse, and their hands and feet amputated and replaced with blades and sprung footing of sorts.

Nah, there's nothing to see. It would be nice to go through with the project. Narrative-wise my Slann in the campaign I'm playing is the one mentioned above.
