I'm SO CLOSE to finishing my list in spectacular noob-like fashion. I'm new to Warhammer Fantasy (played 40K for a long time) and I'm making a list based on the awesome advice of people like you. I plan to go berserk at my hobby table soon, so take a peek to see if you like the list before I start committing them to super glue... id either bring more temple guard, give the slann etheral and make the saurus into a mega horde o destruction with him in it or run the slann solo with the 2+ ward shield
You seem to have taken my favourite scar-vet build. Charmed shield is nice now that you have mounted him on CO and run in saurus because he can't benefit from the look our sir rolls. Only problem here is that your army can contain only one of each magical item so you can't have two identical veterans. You could try something like the 5+ ha from rulebook, venom of firefly and great weapon/halberd or something to the other. Up to you really. Skink skirmishers are a solid choises as are those saurus units. Unlike the previous poster I would much rather run them in two separate units. Solid choises in the rest of the army also besides TG. Either beef these up to atleast 16 models and full command or leave them home. 12 is just too small. For beefing up these maybe drop the other scar veteran or spears from saurus. If you decide to drop them the slann would need some extra protection as said. If you run him solo the ethereal and 2+ ward are both good options. I find both to be a bit overdoing so with one you would be fine. For me I usually go with 2+ ward save. Also you should note which lore slann is about to use in your list before playing. BR Agrem
