Hello dear fresh cold-blood brothers ! To be honest I do not have any idea how to procede but after several months to remains hiding in the bushes I wanted to be part of your community or, at least, share some pictures of several lizards.and toothed dinos. I was a fan of the lizardmen since many years now but this is only quite recently that I came back to the hobby. Not to play but only to convert, paint and collect. I will try to post some of my humble pieces, even if they are nothing compared to some of yours.
Here is the first lizard, one that I love from my first entrance to the hobby, krog-gar on grymloq or at least Saurus oldblood on his mighty carnosaur.
Great work on the Oldblood and Carnosaur! I love the colour scheme on the Carnosaur. Looking forward to seeing more
Well painted, nice base. Bit oversized, but since you said not to play games it doesn't matter much Grrr, Imrahil
Thanks for the warm welcome, I have to admit I was a bit stressed as there are some really awesome painters here ! Unfortunately, even if I love the lore about the Lizardmen/Seraphon from GW the model (except somes) looks very outdated for me so most of the upcoming entries are from LostKingdom miniatures or LastSword. Ahah you are completly right Imrahil, but yeah I do not think I will play anyway Actually the last model from GW is this one poor cowboy, which has no mount yet. Looking for something soon
Don't bother trying to compare yourself to other painters. Compare yourself to your own painting and always try to do a better job. You'll get there. Especially if you look up instructional videos on YouTube (I personally found these very helpful as a fledgling painter). Your Saurus Old Blood/Scar Veteran looks good.
Yup, you are right, I did use some videos on Youtube as well and agree with you about their helpfulness. Thanks Lizards of Renown ! Here are two more cold-blooded brothers
Today some WIP troglodon-like from lostkingdom miniatures. I would like to create some huge base for this one but it is still WIP. Hope I may be able to post it soon.
Thanks ! I have to admit this was not my idea, I was inspired by this amazing video: Continuing to post some pics with one more model from Lostkingdom miniatures as a proxy for a saurus hero :
Thank you very much ! I have to amit that I really love their models ! Here is one from Artisan guild, seems pretty close to what I imagined when I though about Nakai
I have seen that model before too, it does look really good. Personally I am a fan of the mighty mini @Rikard made over at Avatars of War, not sure exactly how big he is though.
Great work on the Crocodile, that is a nice model. Good pose, though the sword seems like it have to rest on something. Grrr, Imrahil
And....you are definitively right, hopefully this is only collecting and not battle ready model but I might took care of this kind of issues on the future !
