8th Ed. Southland cities?

If this in the wrong place, please tell me. Looking through the web I found a list of Lizardmen cities in the Southlands. I also found that the maps show it much greener than I thought, meaning my fluff will be based around a city closer to Araby or the Deadlands (maybe even using some skeletons as the evolution of lobotomized humans, hey the lizardmen embalmed the ain't slann, maybe the tomb kings learned it from us!)

My question is, does anyone know anything about these cities, where they are, lore about them, etc? List from wikipedia is below.

In the previous edition of our army book there was an alternative "Southland Lizardmen" army list, the book said the list was every bit as official as the standard lustria lizardmen list.

In that book there was some more fluff about the southlands. I dont remember it well enough to regurgitate it, but you should be able to pick up a copy of the book cheap on ebay, its the one with a slann on the cover. Alternatively you may be able to find a pdf copy somewhere, or someone with an old edition book may show up in this thread if they are kind.

From what I remember, the list made saurus special instead of core, you couldnt take oldbloods, and scar vets were lords instead of heroes (all because of how rare saurus are in the southlands).

Is it okay to upload parts of an out of date armybook like the one mentioned above? I have the book and could easily make a PDF of the Southlands army section for you but I'm not sure if this would violate the forum rules or not.

Probably shouldn't upload something like that in such a public place. It's still GW intellectual property even though it's outdated.

As to the original topic, I don't recall reading specifics about any Southland temple-cities. I do remember from one of the stories that the Lizardmen in the Southlands are a different color than those in Lustria. At the time Lustirans were greenish and Southlanders were brownish. Of course now they are all blue so whatever.

In another story the Lizardmen went out across the deserts in Lustria with the help of some humans. A few Stegadons had to carry giant water kegs on their backs, rather than a howdah. That could make for a fun conversion - mobile swimming pool!

The old 5th edition Lizardmen book had a lot of great fluff, including one or two about the southlands.
