I apologize if I am bringing up an old topic.

So I ran across this last night while playing a little introductory battle with a friend. Does the Lore of Metal have the same effect on a unit with Scaly Skin? (i.e. 5+ SS save implies 5+ to wound with a LoM spell)

Thanks in advance for your help!

As far as I am aware, there is nothing in rules to say otherwise- scaly skin does indeed make you more vulnerable to those LoM spells.

That's what I was thinking. I can't find anything that says otherwise. It would be nice if there was an addendum for scaly skin to be an exception, but oh well.

Thanks.

Scaly skin does indeed make you more vulnerable to lore of metal since there is no rule that says otherwise.

on a slightly related matter, remember that the Glittering Robe spell can not be used to increase the save of sauruses. Since scaly skin is a special rule, and special rules do not stack unless noted (and it is not noted). sux to be us :P

Hmm, that's something I would not have thought of. Thanks for pointing that out.

Yea scaley skin used to be different from just regular armor back in 5th edition.
