It has been a few years since I have played WH so I may be a bit rusty on the rules so forgive me. If I give my skink chief the staff of the lost sun and he has 3 attacks so does he get 3 x3 multi shots or just 1 x3 multi shot? I just want to make sure I am not missing anything rules wise.

Just the 1 x3 multi shot.
    Oh and it's not poisoned,
But it is quite long range.

The staff is treated as a short bow. So, you only get 1 x 3 Multiple Shots per turn.

Follow up question to this - Does this item take a -1 for multi-shot.

I can not remember, been ages since I used it.

Yes, it does take the -1 for multi-shooting. However, the chief's BS is high enough for it to not matter in most situations.

On another note, every time I used this item (4-5 games), the unit of terradons out shoot the chief!

Then you should take it every time because it compels the terradons to get their act together!

I'm going to move this thread to the rules section.

Also, I like your logic Scalenex! That must be why you don't see packs of warhorses without riders. They need a knight on top so they can outperform him!

Lol, yea, I have witnessed that with bretts all the time. I especially think it is funny with Pegasus Knights. My Brett opponent would almost skip the Knights, the Pegasus perform so well.
