7th Ed. Standard Bearer

Simple question do you need a standard bearer to have a magic banner or is that included? I wrote it as you need a standard bearer and then added a banner but I'm not sure

 

Yes you need a standard bearer. What are you going to hang the banner on otherwise?

 

I was hoping I could use hang it on a spear or use it as a cloak maybe
