Hello, lads. I'm new to the forum, but I'm wanting to share my progress with my current endeavor. The idea is to have my entire army being the defenders of a ruin within Lustria, and thus will be mounted on ruinous, weather-worn tiles. I have a picture below of a Saurus-sized base (before I derped and realized that the Saurus bases were slotta. Well, one of the Saurus will be without his 'slotta' bar!)

I'll be updating this post with my progress, but due to my schedule, and how careful I am to make this army, it may take some time between posts.

That's a great looking base! I'm totally excited to see what you do! Unit fillers would be so easy to do with bases like that! Simply take that base, then green stuff some roots busting up through the bricks! That would look so awesome in among big blocks of Temple Guard! :joyful:

    Update Time!

So, I've made my first few Saurus warriors, the first two of a legion.

I wanted to make the base appear to have cracks, so I scored the bricks with a hobby knife. Unfortunately, the cracks did not survive the base, wash, and two layers of drybrushing. In the future, I might use a file to make the 'cracks' in the bricks.

You could green stuff the base before adding the model, years ago I used to get thin plastic and cut shapes as required then glue to the base top.
