I have recently obtained a brand new Stegadon- I'm very excited to build and paint him, but I'm also very daunted. I've been poking around for info on him and came across this page http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/c...dex=0&aId=11400002&start=1&multiPageMode=true which is going to be very helpful.

But my main question is, I'm looking for the most bang for my buck. I'd like to be able to change out the weapons included between the bow, blowguns, and EoTG. Is this possible? Are the pieces say, able to have magnets affixed to them so that they can be changed out? Or would it be better to buy the bits for 3 seperate howdah and crew and maybe magnetize the whole howdah to the stegadon? It seems either way I'll need to have several extra skinks to crew it with, since some of the skinks need to be attached to both the bow and the blow guns.

Any thoughts on how best to accomplish this?

When i built mine i just didn't glue it to the steg. It fits pretty snug so it stays on but comes off with a easy tug. I think you would have to do some swapping of howdahs as the parts are really small you could prolly get away with magnetizing them if you had some really small magnets.

Don't glue the howdahs on, because yes they do fit very well without glue. EotG is also easy to leave unglued and place/remove as needed. Only thing is the weapons at the front. There have been a few people using rare earth magnets in the weapons so they are detacheable, do a bit of a search on the board nad you should be able to find the threads.
