When defending, do we use the WS of the mount or rider? I was told today that its always the rider. BRB page number would be much appreciated.
For the Terradon and Ripper it's the rider, the stegadon is the mount because of the special rule 'Howdah Crew'. pg 45 LM book
This is not a question about the WS. But it is about the Terradons and the Rippers. I didn`t want the create a new topic, sice we have already so many. I see in the new book the rider now has 1 wound. Am i correct to see that if they get 1 wound, the model is gone, or do we use any of the wounds of the terradon or the ripper?
im sure its under monsterous cav rules that you always use the highest wound and toughness characteristics
For monstrous Cav you always use the highest wounds, meaning 2 for Ripps and Tears. Unfortunately for everything else you use the riders characteristics. You defend with WS 2 and T 2 ... The monsters characteristics are only used for it's attacks (WS, S, I). Compare monstrous Cav in the BRB
Im quite sure that last bit was errata's. Nowadays, you use the highest wounds AND toughness values for monstrous cavalry.
Your absolutely right. Just checked errata and you do use highest W and T. You still defend with the WS of the rider though
thanx. this helps Indeed i have just read the errata of the BRB and you do use the highest toughness and the most wounds. So, you do have 2 wounds, and toughness 3
