Hi all, please can you clarify stomp and thunderstomp? GW says that the rulebook covers it but it says that stomp is a special rule. Stegs don't have stomp as special rule but can use it..... Argghh!! How that work????

Stomp/Thunderstomp is determined by the Troop Type: e.g. a Monster will have the Thunderstomp special rule, a Monstrous Beast will have the Stomp rule. These are automatically attached to the Troop Type and, unless otherwise stated, the model will be automatically assumed to have them so it won't be detailed under the 'Special Rules' section of the army list. Your Stegadon has Thunderstomp.

So Monster = Thunderstomp, Monstrous Beast = Stomp. What about Monstrous Cavalry like Terradon?

It should detail what unit types are allocated Thunderstomps/Stomps from p.80 onwards in the BRB, however here's the list:

Stomps: Monstrous Infantry, Monstrous Cavalry, Monstrous Beasts.

    Thunderstomps: Monsters.

I hadn't noticed until reading this thread, but that mean that Sallies and razors now get stomp!
