First of all hello to you all, I have had a longing to do a Lizardman army for many years and after selling my Skaven I now have the funds (well some funds as I'm a Student) to attempt a Lizardman army made from 2 Batallion box sets and a small selection of bits. Notes on how I have created them from the batallions/bits are mentioned by the side of each unit. Standard points for games at the wargamming club I goto (Gobstyks) is 2,400 and this list will be a kind of all bases covered, tournament, friendly....etc etc, so without further addo here goes. Lin'Kon'Sharr Spawning Lords/Heroes General Sarus Old-Blood (Converted from one of the Temple Guard Modles in one of the Batallion boxs) Armour of Destiny Biting Blade Battle Standard Bearer Slann Mage Priest (Brettonian Frog Familer on greenstuffed flying base Lillypad) Obsidian Lodestone Higher State of Consciousness Focus Mastery Lore of Life 2 Skink Priests (Converted from 2 Skinks in one of the Batallion Boxs) Core 2 x 20 Sarus Warriors (Stright out of the Batallion Boxes) Hand Weapons Shields Full Command 2 x 15 Skinks (Modles stright out of Batallion boxes with additional water effect bases for "Submerged" Skinks) Javalins Hand Weapons Shields Full Command (Converted Standard Bearers and Musicians) Special 19 Temple Guard (Stright out of both Batallions and combined together minus Old-Blood) Sun Standard of Chotec Full Command 2 x 7 Cold One Cavalry (Stright out of Batallion Boxes) The list is legal and does come in under the points limit any constructive comments are welcome but please remember my financial resources are limited so if you have any suggestions please don't make any drastic changes that cost a lot.
lose consciousness on slann caus he has to be in the tg and cant be hit give him rumination and mystery, and cupped hand of the old ones
Well if you have limited money but lots of time you should convert your skinks to blow pipe skinks. 3x10 blowpipes is a great foundation in any lizardmen army list, Converting the javs to blowpipes is easy as well, just cut off the pointy end, remove shield and add some greenstuff to make it look more like a blowpipe and less like a stick. Unit fillers can be a great addition if you lack money, as long as you put some effort in them they can both save money and make the unit look better (there is nothing more off putting to me than unit fillers that just screams "I SAVE MONEY" though). I run 2 unit fillers on 50mm bases in my saurus units which effectively saves me 8 Saurus in both my units. Other than that, and what Turtleneck said, it looks like a pretty okay list. Its a little character heavy (priests adds pretty much nothing to the list, old blood would've been better off as a scar-vet) but that's necessary to save money. If you can scrape some cash together some point in the future I recommend buying models off ebay by low balling stuff and hope you get lucky (I bought my entire 2400 lits for around 50 euro). A box of skinks could easily be converted to 3x8 cammos, a very solid and competitive choice for tournament play.
