This might sound like a really stupid question but is it possible for super glue to become to old? I've had this super glue for 6 years now and it just seems like it's not as good as it has been... I know the old plastic glue and paint dried out when I found the box...

Yeah, it definitely becomes less effective the older it gets. I had some in a drawer for a few years, unopened, and tried to use it on my first metal model. After a near nervous breakdown caused by my Kroxigor falling apart over and over, I bought some fresh glue, and everything went fine from there on out.

Yeah either heat, humidity, or slow evaporation are going to eventually make it thick to unusable.
