1. Rewriting rules for broken parts of the game, keeping the parts that works and changing the parts that do not 2. Small updates to rules with minor issues 3. New lores (keep some spells, around 30-40% new spells for each lore, updates to attributes, casting values etc where needed) 4. New magic items (both common and race specific, again keep some, add some new stuff) 5. New points costs for very strong/weak units (maybe rules changes in a few cases) 6. Possibly add new unit entries to match new models released for AoS. warhammer.org.uk/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=1541611#p1541611 I'm fvcking excited already! Sounds like everything we wanted to begin with driven by the community. It's not GW official, but it's something and that something is good enough for me. If this can keep WHFB trucking a long for some more years I'm more than happy. I'll gladly throw money after these guys if they do s good job.
Also they're talking about community made army books (lizardhammer anyone?). **EDIT** People are already suggesting things for their armies. I'm not seeing how that's actually possible since we don't know the exact changes, but I'd love for this to happen and for us as a LM community to put out our thoughts on how we perceive a fair update to our army. It'll most likely just be s FAQ/errata the first time around (time to slay the PF discussion).
Sounds interesting, I have not tried the sweedish comp before. So not sure how fair it was across the armies, but I hope the editors will keep their integrity and try and make all armies equal.
I guess they'll give us the beta version and then invite people to give their feedback in correcting army specifics... I think we could have a strong impact at that point...
I can't speak for all armies, but it seems reasonable. I was able to create a LM army I liked and felt was decently powerful. I could easily swap around part without influencing my overall score. There'll always be highly competitive lists because creating restrictions will only result in moving the goal post, but I think the worst filth have been filtered. I wouldn't be surprised if TK are still in the low end.
I played just a couple both with my lizzardmen and ogres, and even on a friendly list lvl (14 tin value I think), were just a tad off from what I ussually play, and I consider my list's non cheese but competitive.... On the other hands you can build quite strong lists, and the restrictions only simulate you to field something you havent in a long time...
I like this evolution we're seeing, all around the communities. This effort of (re)creating the original warhammer idea, is an intriguing concept. Count me more than interested. Are we making an index or what's not, for our inputs in this matter?
