AFAIK: No, the Shadowstrike Starhost is name based. Those are not keywords. So only the two mentioned ones will work. But you can spend 20 points more and use the old "Skink Patrol" Bataillon warscroll. It is exactly the same as the Shadowstrike Starhost, but it is keyword based so an Engine of the Gods or Tehenauin would be OK.
Yeah, it's in the very first warscrolls, when we were still keeping the name "Lizardmen". And where Oxyotl was still around and kicking.
Why is it that those warscroll battalions use keywords and the new ones use unit names? And how can you tell the difference?
Pretty decent, does the same thing as a priest for 20 points less. But yeah, only for the skink patrol, not the shadowstrike, tricky to figure out when to use keyword.
You can still use him (he's got a points cost in the GHB ) , but he's no more included in Seraphon fluff, nor in the battletome.
Which is a same that he's gone fluff wise. I'd highly recommend finding the model to use as a Starpriest substitute, as the model looks great and appears more like a high-class priest than the official model.
Its just that if i use it against enemy's and they ask question i need to be able to explain that i am allowed to use it based on keywords and the new battalion warscrolls use unit names. Any idea where i can the explanation for those?
Thats what i thought. But that also makes it so that i cant use tehenhauin or eotg in skink patrol battalion, becaus the unit description of the skink patrol battalion isnt in BOLD. (It says "1 skink priest" in regual small letters). Or am i completly reading this wrong?
Oops, looks like that new ruling has berfed this! It used to work, but I suppose it is no longer worth the extra 20 points!
