I was looking on Games-Workshop today looking for a Tehenhauin model and I noticed that there wasn't one so I was wondering if they discontinued the model if so did they do it before 7th edition if so then why is he a choice for 7th edition?

He's there still, just under "collectors" models section, not lords. But I think his link is broken though.

I don't run named characters but if i could i'd run him on a stegadon not as a swarm. remember, he has the unbreakable rule, making that steg he is riding unbreakable too.

He loses that rule if he is mounted on a steg.

I've been wanting to run him but I think he is just too expensive for what he provides. Has anybody ever used him?

Yea, saw it last night. The damn rule in in such a small print. I don't see this character being worth it anymore. The only skink character that would actually be fun for me is TETTO'EKO.

well you also have to look at the fact that he is a fighting caster on an EotG so focusing on the priest is a little tougher to do and with lore of the beasts he is quite likely to get bears anger so he will be even harder to kill in combat but is still pretty expensive for what you get especially since he is a lord choice if he was a hero choice i would consider him as a more viable option

If he's on an Engine then he can't cast the Bear's Anger on himself. He has to be US1 for that.

THe only way I would use him, would be if he was mounted on a stegado. As a Lord choice, he is pushed to the wayside by so many better choices. If he was a hero, I would include him on a steg quite a lot considering he has lore of beasts and normal priests cant take that in our army book.

He is too expensive and overshadowed by better choices, making him only viable in themed, skink armies.

If he is on the engine he IS unit strength one...(the stegadon is the other part...)

Nah unit strength counts for each base so since he and the steg are part of the same base, they have a combined US. For characters to be US 1 they cannot be mounted at all.

....Bears anger is useless...Unless of course you want to save that stranded skink priest...

Hahahah! Your skink priest will now be chopped apart by a mere clanrat!

    *casts bears anger*

    Skink butchers the clanrats

It'd certainly be cool to have an Army of the Sotek vs. Plague Monks (or just Skaven in general) face-off.

Mostly Skinks to Maximize his "hate Skaven" benefits, with plenty of Chiefs or Priests loaded up with all the various skink-only and/or anti-Skaven magic items.

And depending on whether the Skavenpelt banner only benefits Skinks, or can just only be carried by one, you could stick it a unit of Saurus.
