Hello! I was browsing through the Tactica sticky and noticed the only topic for Temple Guard was for without Slann. Since this is one of our most iconic, and some would say competitive units, I thought they deserved some thought. For my part, I'm curious about unit composition. How big? From my experience, I'd say a minimum of 20 if you're taking lore of Life, and a minimum of 26 if you're taking a different lore with the Slann. How do you form them up? I've been favouring a six wide, but it suffers from loosing a few attacks due to the Slann in the second row. Would eight wide work, putting the Slann to one side? If so, then is it worth expanding it further into a horde? How best to use them? Do you slam them into the enemies elite unit? Do you use them to chew through other things while something else is redirecting the enemies bad stuff? Do they need the Banner of Swiftness to ensure they get where you want them? I've only fielded these guys a half dozen times or so, so I'd like to hear your opinions!
