    Ok guys and girls?

Im having trouble coming up with a scheme for my temple guard which is lame!

My normal warriors are blue 'skinned' with green scales but want my temple guard to look different and 'older' if u catch my drift.

Im thinkng blue skin and gray scales but am worryed it will clash with the amount of bone they carry with them.

    Any ideas?

If you want them to look older, a 'faded' version of your usual colour scheme would probably work well. I'm not sure exactly what colours you are using, but maybe just add a bit of bleached bone or a light grey colour to your final highlight?

Or go darker, don't go as far with highlights or add a bit more wash/ink. Thats what I'm doing for mine, skinks are fairly bright blue, saurus are mid blue, and kroxigors and characters are overall much darker.

you could mix a little white in to make it liter and faded, or you could try to add a tone of some other colour into them for example if red you would make the skin slightly more purpilish and the scales slightly brownish if not make a whole new colour scheme it cant hurt, as long you you like how it looks :)

I painted my temple guard with dark blue skin and grey scales, then i washed both parts with black. I think it suits their more "rusted" feeling that i wanted to give them. The skull mounted on the head I painted white and it actually looks quite nice with a brighter piece in the centre of the model.
