Temple of Chotec

I am wanting some help choseing between Sandstone columns with Ivory statues or rock columns with gold statues....
This is all in aid of my completion of the sun temple of Chotec, that i wish to do as my next project.
Feel free to post any other ideas you migth have.

personally out of the two i like the rock and gold statue better, but what i think would look really cool is the sandstone, but maybe with a black marble statue. idk if the lizardmen would actually be able to get their hands (claws?) on marble, but it would look pretty sick

An obsidian statue on sandstone? That could be impressive.

the sandstone and ivory one looked more appealing at first, but as I thought about the context, I think a sun temple would be better with the golden statues. I definitely like the taller and more overgrown look of the sandstone design, though.

I like the striking color combination of dark rock and shiny gold. It seems more quintessentially Lizardmen to me.

I would say I'd like to see the golden statue on the sandstone plinth, but if I had to vote for em as is, I'd use the sandstone one. I particularly love the vine creeping up the right side.

as mentioned above the first thing I thought when I saw the poll was "make it sandstone and gold" , seems I made the poll go 50/50 too

hmmm... this is tough...

I think it would look best as stone and ivory, I don't really like the gold statue but I think the contrast of the dark rock is better than the sandstone.
