Hi guys, I want to test a total new set-up for me.. never played much with a carnanaur and never ever played with a combination of carnasaur and a slann.. So i hope you give me nice feedback! Lords: Slann Mage-Priest goes with temple guard Becalming Cogitation, Focus of Mystery, Harmonic Convergence Bsb: Standard of Discipline Channeling Staff Heroes: Saurus Scar-Veteran Carnosaur w/ Loping Stride Armor of Destiny, Halberd Saurus Scar-Veteran Cold One Charmed Shield, Light Armour, Great Weapon Skink Chief goes with ripperdactyls Ripperdactyl Egg of Quango, Spear, Shield, Light Armour Skink Priest goes with skinks Level 2 Wizard, Lore of Heavens Core: 40 Saurus Warriors Full Command, Hand Weapon & Shield 13 Skink Skirmishers 12 Skink Skirmishers 19 Skink Cohorts Musician Special: Bastiladon Solar Engine 4 Ripperdactyl Riders 36 Temple Guard Full Command, Banner of Eternal Flame Rare: Troglodon Divining Rod Never played with a troglodon, so want to test it! On a charge with my templeguard he would be usefull! Initiative 3 from bastiladon, boosts from slann and PF on a 5 or 6 with flaming attacks! hope it will work out! Carnasaur is for the smaller units, hopefully I can make a quick charge with him! Because of my enemy who's playing Orcs, many savages, mostly two doomdivers and one rocklobber, i wanted to bring many lone targets so he has to choose! Many ofthe targets are also scary so i hope it will work out! Hope you guys have some nice feedback on this list! Tips would be awesome!
Interesting List. I am of the oppinion that the Trog is too expensive for it's abilities but would love to see some battle reps or feedback. The equipment of your ScarVets can be optimized. The Cowboy setup is really not ideal, to be honest. Theres a great threat in the tactica section about Cowboys, check it out! On the Scarnosaurus I like the 4++ talisman plus charmed shield to shrugg of that first cannonball. With LA and a spear you still have strength 6 on the charge and you should try to break enemies on the first round of combat anyways. Your Vet now has a 2+ all the time. Also I really like the discussion about Carnos in the tactica forum right now. It suggests taking Blood Roar which I quite agree on. Have a look Apart from that I like the List! Maybe try to squeeze in a scroll for your Priest. You could cut some TG since 30 should actually be enough IMO Hope that helps
Charmed shield will only work when the cannonball is allocated on the saurus scar veteran, correct me if i'm wrong!and isn't lost after the first wound! I think this set-up will work because i still have a 4+ wardsave which can also save me of cannons.. Even though i will take a look, maybe i choose some other equipment! And i didn't took blood roar because my enemy has many savage orcs.. so immume to psychology! it would be a waste to me so i've chosen to take loping stride! My skink priest is equiped with a scroll but forgot to mention it in the list! I will post some feedback about the troglodon! I think it could be usefull for sniping mangler squigs, do some wounds on a warmachine or a big monster! Tought about two troglodons, two turns of PF on 5 or 6 and each turn two spit attacks! At least one will hit his target and wound! Can make a different against monsters i think!
A short review! Couldn't test my troglodon very well, unfortunately, he was sniped down by a lucky stonethrower in the first turn! Carnosaur wiped out two units, a unit of goblins and a unit of trolls. Rippers killed some warmachines! Bastiladon survived, first time, no lucky stonethrower who hit the bastiladon! He weakened the trolls in the first turn. My saurus unit was in a terrible battle with 40 savages orcs, had both 3 kills and because of the charge i won this combat! He had bad luck because he fled and i successfully slaugthered the whole unit because of 2 sixes rolled on the pursuit roll! Battle result: A draw 1290,5 - 1244
