Ok so I like lizardmen, no denying it, I like the Aztec theme (and lizardness) so what are Aztecs without spaniards to fight?

Im thinking of raising an estelian themed army, with a somewhat "naturalised" feel to them, eg native pets and mounts.
It is a skeleton idea at the minute, but im thinking along these lines:

    General Marco Polo

Engineer as the cartographer (map reader)
Two native guides lore of beasts
    Ships navigator lore of heavens/light
Missionary (think American pilgrim) as witch hunter/warrior priest
    BSB with captured plaques

Halberdiers with Spanish helms and plumes
    Hand gunners with above
    Spearmen with above
Militia/freecompany with machetes, light bucklers and flaming torches

All lieutenants with fencing rapiers, big hats plumes feathers, native pets and mustachios

    Pistoleros as conquistadors
Huntsmen as scouts in light was ants clothing and lots of trinkets and survival gear
Knights of the white wolf with cavalry swords mounted on some form of hadrosaur and Spanish armour

Altar of sigmar but using a rampant lion OR a captured lizardmen totem
Demigryph knights but on postosuchus, which would be converted dark elf coldones

Thoughts, suggestions, additions and critiques are welcome, its an idea and may not come to pass, but if it oes it will join my plog.

You might want to hunt down the old Regiments of the Renown unit Pirazzo's Lost Legion.

I was going to suggest Dogs of War like N810 did, but those models are expensive these days and Axolotyl has a lot of scaly mouths to feed. Perry Minitatures and other historical minatures companies are a cheaper alternative. Just look for companies that make soldiers from the time and region you are seeking.
