Damn it! I read the prices thinking these were for Australia. I was actually thinking kroxigors and chameleons were almost affordable. Add in the GW's Australia levy, and we'll still be priced out.

Sweet, just got a $100 gift certificate to my flgs. Gonna save that.
Damn, just bought the metal slann and it has a been a hell to assemble, need to pin everything to get it to stay.

Are their preview pictures of anything? will it be the same model just in finecast?

$30 for one Salamander?!? What alternate universe do the people at GW live in? They move to cheaper materials to lower their costs, then up the price they charge us. I swear, I'll never buy anything new from GW again. I attended a recent tourney with a $25 buy-in. (It was held in a store) I bought a board game out of spite.

Sorry for the tired Finecast/pirce raise rant. A guy can only take so much, though.

Haha, price is $41 in Australia :) I mean, I'd like to buy from GW but just can't afford it (esp when ebay can be so much cheaper!)

Glad to hear about the finecasts though- but they'll probably take a while to get onto ebay ;)

For my Lizardmen army, all I really need (besides one unit of TG) is Chakax and the Scar-vet on a cold one. The two heroes I will buy in finecrap...er cast. Just because I want to give it a try. After that, I just have some painting and repair work to do and I can call that army done (until new models come out).

I, for one, welcome the finecast on SOME models. That is, models which are tricky to assemble in metal such as the terradons and the slann. But everything else, we'll just have to see. I really hope salamanders and Cold Ones get a facelift.

Honestly Lizzie Cold Ones have grown on me at first i thought they looked goofy but i like them! DEs still have the more wicked looking ones but if fits theyre army ours still look cool.

Sallys could use a facelift though i agree theyre looking alittle dated..................

I like the old Dimetradon look they used to have in the earlier edition

Boston, feel your pain. That said, just don't buy new. I not only don't buy anything new but I have made sure my local store owners know that while I certainly can and would certainly like to that I just won't because it isn't reasonable. I, buy everything second hand or online where they have discounted prices. Takes longer but I sleep better.

Either way I'm happy about the terradons.

Our warhammer gaming group is based out of a small local gaming store so I like to do what I can to buy new from them but its hard when ebay is cheap.

But I got a $100 gift certificate last month for them so finecast seems like a way to go.

Aaaaand they are pre-orderable on GW site in all their glory. I like that the Terradon and Kroxigor come in packages of threes, but I don't like the price tag...

Well the finecasts are in, looks like there is a 25% price hike all around. Ugh if only I didn't need my salamanders so badly.
