Post you lizardmen jokes/witty observations here. I'll get the ball rolling, by poking fun at the Saurus Musician: It is Imperial Year 912, and a new squadron of Saurus is spawning. The Skink attendants surround each Saurus as it crawls from the murky depths of the spawning pool, giving it newly forged weaponry before moving on to the next Saurus. A slow sound breaks the hubbub of activity. One of the Saurus is slowly pounding his club against his shield in perfect 4/4 rhythm. The skink leader chatters out new orders. This Saurus is clearly destined to be the squadrons drummer. Its shield and club are exchanged for a drum and a stick. The Saurus, named Lotgoq, feels more comfortable with this setup, it can now achieve the purpose it was born for. The year is now 1412, and the Saurus are marching to war again, each footstep matched perfectly with a drum-beat. Lotgoq has been drumming for 500 years, and knows no other way of life. The enemy soldiers advance on the Saurus, and Lotgoq permits himself a sneer. The warm-blooded drummers cannot match the skill and precision of a great Saurus musician. Lotgoq doubted that the ignorant creatures could do anything more then a basic timescale, nevertheless the great beats a coldblooded warrior could create. This battle was a good as over, as far as Lotgoq was concerned.
Thats a joke?? wow. Anyway, this isn't a joke, but it happened in my last game against WoC and it made me laugh. Its my opponents magic phase, he roles 12 for winds of magic, attempts to cast pandemonium with his lvl 4 caster, using 3 dice, he needs 8 or 9 I think. He roll's 3 6's, all of which are lost because of the slanns ability to remove 6's from an enemy wizards casting attempt. He lets out a massive sigh, and then asks if he could send his wizard to Slann school
Lol, I got the joke. Hilarious. Very good Chahlie. I especially like "and knows no other way of life."
You left off the ending, where Lotgoq dies heroically in battle and the saurus behind him steps up and suddenly inherits all of his drumming skill
Well, it's not as funny if I explain it, but the joke was that Saurus are naturally, instinctively good at what they do, so one of them would naturally have a great sense of rhythm to be the drummer. (There is probably also a Saurus with a really, really good grip to be the Standard Bearer) I was just poking fun at the idea of it.
