Howdy! I've been working on my lizards over the last several months and its been a long and painful process! My first time in the miniature hobby, so these geckos have been a huge learning curve for me. I've only done a few so far, lots more are primed and ready to go! I'll put the photos in order of first painted to last
These are gorgeous! I really like the vibrant colours. That blue green Ripperdactyl with the pink skink looks incredible! The amount of detail you put into the colouration of these all just blows me away! Really fantastic work on all of these.
You are definitely going to blow their minds. Ps. hope you don't mind I posted a link to your stuff a while back. http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/omg-the-colors.17927/
Because you were too busy painting! Amazing work, is it all done with brush? mix of airbrush? we want as much info as possible. So can we have a bit of background on your progression, I take it you are a professional artist?
Ha great joke!! No way that is true! NMM first try? Lies all around. Guys don´t trust this girl Now serious, I don´t know whether I should can believe you or not. This is excellent.
First time painting minis but she is defo professional but who cares it's a stunning display of skill.
Everything is done with a brush! I did get my first airbrush recently and used it to base coat the dread saurian but that's it so far. I need to learn a bit more about using the airbrush before I attempt cool things I'm not a professional artist, I just have good knowledge on colour theory and a natural flare for art. My previous life consisted almost entirely of World of Warcraft and pole dancing haha
Haha yes NMM first time!! I'm obsessed with intense colour and the cartoon look. so when my Gamesworkshop guy told me about it, I studied the technique for weeks online and gave it a go!! Now I have a whole army to do
If you look hard enough at the bases on my skinks you can see I slopped paint on because I didn't grasp the concept of dry brushing very wel hahaha! I got NMM before I got dry brushing :| professional in the learning hehe
This must be a cruel joke... it surely can't be possible to be that AMAZING right off the start. Every model you have presented is absolutely stunning to the highest order, each one more lovely than the next. The colours, the interactions and the execution are all perfect. Good news... you have learned more on these skinks than I will ever learn in a lifetime in this hobby. Not sure if I should just awkwardly gawk in bewilderment & awe or go out and sacrifice all my pathetic models to the flame. In short, great work! Look forward to seeing more of your skills on display.
WOW you have blown me out of the skies you are a grate painter and good, I see you studied the techniques well before you tried to paint that that some patience. I hate studying lol just take paint to model and see what happens {I don't even plan out what colors to use} and most of the time im happy with what I got. you are greatly talented and I get the fun of WOW I used to work for activision-blizzard and can still play the game for free but I have been painting more than playing games lately...tried the pole dance but my jelly roll is an issue {did it for my wife was fun }
I lost 8 years of my life to WOW, I say lost as it became 10hrs a day 5 days a week, I did resub 2 years ago but it was not the same game but I still took 6 toons to level 90!
