The ancient oldblood Eztli Achcauhtli stepped over the ridge. The slann had sensed a shift in the fates, dark times were ahead and the armies of lustria required more warriors, so, with the blessings of the slann and a party of his lieutenant skinks, Zeltzin Ihuicatl, Tlachinolli Itztli and Meztli Quauhtli, at his side he was sent to re-awaken the spawning pools that had given life to him all those cycles ago.
With the two skink priests performing the rites of awakening the oldblood looked on at the first spawning of his new warriors, the closest thing to a smile his reptilian features could emulate plastered on his face.
On the orders of the slann he had set out to war with his warriors, standing at his side was his elected champion , a reptilian snarl in her throat as she questioned him in regards to the attack. With a flick of his tail he ordered his army forward, the blood scales began the long march to war.
