Word came from a small group of terradon scouts that an undead army was on the march though the mountains from the Copper Desert to the west. Itztli was tasked with grinding that army to bone dust under the reptilian heel of his army. Gathering the priest Momoztli and Ylolotli to his side, he gathered the forces he needed to repel the vile invaders. Momoztli was to be his personal caster and Ylolotli was to be guide the Engine of the Gods into battle. Itztli also gathered the terradon scouts that discovered the army. Itztli sent forth a small group of chameleons to scout the invading force and do what damage they could with their poisons. Cold One cavalry was called to run the right flank of the enemy. The engine would also run this flank along with the terradons. That in an effort to distract the enemy archers from the main force of Suarus that Itztli was bring to the left flank of the enemy. Itztli sent skink cannon fodder ahead of his force to protect him from missle fire. The chameleons were able to kill one the carrion birds that followed the undead army. Momoztli and Yolotli were able to gain the blessings of Sotek and blasted the undead army with bolts of lightning. Momoztli was nearly killed as one of his bolts exploded in his hand. As the terradons neared a casket issuing a sickening light, they were charged by undead constructs controlled by two Lich priests. The terradon leader chose to retreat and report back to Itztli the presence of the casket. Upon hearing of the casket, Itztli ordered the terradons to destroy it above all else. He further instructed his saurus to bind their eyes and only look at the ground under foot. The cavalry charged the constructs. As formidable as the construct were, they could not stand against the cold blooded cavalry. As they closed the charge, the sickly light flared from the casket caused a Cold one to drop dead. Across the field, the casket’s light struck down all of the skinks and chameleons on the field. As the terradons neared the casket, the sickly light grew to fill their vision and they were struck dead and fell from the sky. Itztli knew the blessing of Sotek was with him as the rest of his army resisted the sickly light. The Engine of the Gods closed the distance to the Lich priests and their undead constructs. The Construct was trampled as the engine closed the charge. A lich priest issued a challenge to Momoztli. The stegadon crushed the lich priest just as he finished issuing the challenge. The Cold One cavalry destroyed the last lich priest as the Engine rumbled by. Skeletal archers seeing their beloved Lich priest overrun charged the engine. Momoztli chose to flee that charge as it would only slow the engine down on his next charge though the ranks. Upon losing their Lich Preist hierophant, the undead army began to crumple to the ground in heaps of useless bone. Soon, nothing was left of the invaders but bone and rags to feed the jungle. Itztli returned to the City of Destiny, Xhotl, to bask in the warmth offered by the spawning pools. Lustria’s secrets her own once again. (This may need to b moved into a fluff section as it is a battle report as fluff)
Congrats on the win and I like the battle report as well keep them up. I'm worried that when the TK book gets redone that they will be overpowered/broken as the Vamps were and daemons are. Nice win. Your Friendly Thunder Lizard
