    or minus 2 temple gaurd and 5 raptodactyles/5 chams instead engine.


    The plan is on 1-2 turns change 4/8 high lore spells with shadow spells to take mindrazor with power scroll on crucial close combat you ll succed it and propably ll gives win.
    plus the rest shadow spells are all good. and the High lore itself is descent.
    any opinions ?

    The change you have mindrazor is 1 to 6.. you should better focus on melkoth's and wyssan's!

    Maybe to much skinks? Where's your hammerblock! those skinks are down to easy!

    I belive skinks are cheap units with good potential , quick to fire and if i put mindrazor than str9
    isnt hard to have mindrazor.
    lets say i cast drain magic, the missile (oponet dispels) and rest dices 1-2 more spells on 8 plus.
    i belive i can cast 2 or on best case 3 spells per round , that means at end of magic phase i ll roll 2 or 3 dices on the lore, lets say 2 , 3-4 for example , i keep them and we go next turn , again a couple spells and i roll again , i supose to take 6 isnt so hard if i delay my oponent with my diverters a couple rounds. and ofc i dont need to take shadow, i can take zero of death or metal or fireball or anythink else.

    as hard hit unit i got kroxi and u cant underastimate TG neither new birds with Kb

    I see your tactic, but remember one stonethrower will kill up to 9 skinks ;) Skinks are easy to kill and you have a chance of 1 to 6 for mindrazor, you better can play safe and boost saurus unit and others then skink hordes

    I may be being thick here but you have put the iron curse icon on your slann for a ward save of 6 from warmachines?? The slann has a natural ward save of 4+ so you dont need. As I say I may be wrong.

    He gives the 6+ ward vs machines to his whole unit.

    I like skinks too, but I don't know if 2x40 will work.
    1 block of 30 works, I can find a match up where it does well. With 2 big blocks, I'd be worried about finding good match ups for both.

    Skinks only have a leadership of 5, so they break really fast if you're not in generals range.. a unit of 40 might work but when your opponent has a toughness of 4 and strength of 4, you'll be slain in notime and you won't do serious damage!
    That's why I think you definately need one unit of Saurus Warriors!

    If I may suggest an edit:

    Slann w/ Resevoir of Eldritch Energy, Soul of Stone, Becalming Cogitation, Focus of Mystery, Harmonic Convergence Channeling Staff (3D6 channel on 5+), BSB w/ Discipline standard
    no dragongem, 4+ wardsave is enough and normally your slann won't suffer any hits and ironcurse isn't nescessary.. your slann won't get target by stonethrowers.. he always passes his LOS-test..

    Change beasts to heavens and take the signature (-1 to hit and -1 leadership is very good, if your enemy hits a unit of saurus or templeguard at 5+ it will be very hard to kill them..)

    Replace the 40 skinks and 10 skinks skirmishers for 40 saurus warriors with muso and champion, spears is possible if you want

    make instead of 40 -> 30 skinks with muso

    2x10 skirmishers and 10 cohorts for priest will be good enough to keep..

    Use a unit of 6 krox (2 rows of 3) you'll be able to make 18 attacks with PF at a str of 7 with stomp! :) Good enough don't need the extra krox because this unit will be a hammerunit

    Terradons are good

    When you have an engine of the gods place him within 6 of your templeguard and you will have your 6+ wardsave.. So the ironcurse was a really waste because wardsave son't stack..
    But I should not take an engine of the gods.. for 140ss it isn't an viable option in this list because you have better choices, put in 5 rippers instead of the engine and you have a list of 2399 points list and i think more viable..

    So you have for 2399 points:

    Slann
    -- Resevoir of Eldritch Energy, Soul of Stone, Becalming Cogitation, Focus of Mystery, Harmonic Convergence Channeling Staff
    -- BSB w/ Discipline standard

    Skink Priest w/ Lore of Heavens (I recommend the signature spell)
    -- Dispell Scroll

    40 Saurus Warriors
    -- Musician and Champion
    -- Spears if you want

    30 Skinks Cohorts
    -- Musician

    10 Skinks -- priest goes in this unit

    10 Skink Skirmishers

    10 Skink Skirmishers

    3 Terradons

    6 Kroxigors

    26 Templeguard
    -- Full Command
    ---- Banner of Eternal Flame (Charge with this unit a unit of trolls and they're gone in a second)

    5 Ripperdactyl Riders (Use to take down small units with a unit size of about 20 and warmachines)


    Try and see if it will work!:)
