So in your opinion what style of lizardman army is the most competitive. Take note, all of the armies include the obvious must take choices like chameleon skinks and salamanders. This is just what makes up the core of the army. Skink cloud: Skink skirmisher heavy with some skrox or saurus for cleanup duty. Focuses on avoiding the enemy and controlling the flow of the game by double fleeing everything. Most likely used with a Lore of Metal slaan. Saurus Heavy: Based around smashing saurus into other combat blocks. Includes a hefty temple guard bunker and possibly saurus hordes. Many units would include scar veterans on foot. Most likely used with either a Light or Life slaan. Monster mash: Based on taking as many stegadons as possible, may include skink characters on stegadons. Absolutely using the lore of life. Balanced: Using any number and combination of these. Will most likely feature a stegadon or two, some saurus blocks (including a temple guard bunker) and some skink skirmisher screens. Could use the lore of Metal, Light or Life depending on play style and which part you would gear your army towards.
I assume you mean Salamanders, not Razordons? Why Metal? In an avoidance list, I think Death is probably a better choice since it allows you to snipe characters and generate VPs without necessarily destroying whole units.
Sad to hear the pole is broken. @Dvim, metal let's/helps a skink heavy army kill entire units. Although I agree with death also being a strong choice. Double slaan? Also metal has final transmutation, again to help with killing larger units, I guess death has P.sun so. IDK.
I did well with a Monster Mash/Skink Cloud list the other day. Carnosaur and one of each steg, including the Engine of the Gods. I kinda brutalized my Elf opponent...
