(Updated with correct use of magic items.)
We're aiming at 2000p at my local trusted gang of gamers, so I thought the following might be good for a varied setup against most opponents:

    Lords: 385p (~19%)

    • Slann (General)
    - 2 Disciplines (Rumination & Focus)
    - Cupped Hands
    - Obsidian Trinket
    - Lore of Life
(Rather obvious use, will be the central piece in his TG bunch, hoping to use a lot of magic, thanks to Cupped Hands even the occasional dispel of ToV won't stop me from dishing out a few heals and extra toughness around.)

    Heroes: 278p (~14%)

    • Scar Veteran
    - BSB
    - Sword of the Hornet
    - Glittering Scales
    - Shield
(Goes with the Saurus, next to the TG/Slann block. His magic items makes him a bit more dangerous than most BSB's in combat. Made him my "hitty" character.)

    • Skink Priest
    - Lvl 2
    - Plaque of Tepok
    - Dispel Scroll
(Extra eyes for the Slann (not used with Lore of Life though), as well as having quite a few spells of his own, and a dispel scroll on those important enemy casts, goes with the Skinks/Krox as a bodyguard.)

    Core: 675p (~33%)

    • 30 Saurus
    - Musician + BS
(Goes on one side of the TG/Slann as the hammer/anvil with the Scar Vet in the group.)

    • 28 Skinks
    - Full command
    - 3 Kroxigors
(Skink priest goes here, used as both a bodyguard for him, as well as helping with the hammering on the other side of the TG/Slann. Skink champion is there to soak up the first challenge against the priest.)

    Special: 502p (~25%)

    • 6 Camo Skinks
    (Warmachine/monster killas.)

    • 6 Camo Skinks
    (Warmachine/monster killas 2.)

    • 18 Temple Guard
    - Full command
    - The other Tricksters Shard
    - Sword of Swift Slaying

    - Banner of Eternal Flame
(Hammer/anvil unit. Slann's regen and heals will hopefully keep these guys at full strength. Banner is there to mess with any other regen-enemies (Abom's/Grave Guard of doom/treemen/trolls). Tricksters Shard is there if and when the Champion has to pick up a few challenges aiming at the Slann (plus I had 15p left :p ). Gave him SoSS instead of Tricksters Shard, always nice with a ASF-TG, both regarding normal combat as well as any challenges he will have to accept. Will hopefully hold the centre of my army.

    Rare: 160p (~8%)

    • Salamander
    - Extra handler
(Everything-killer! Going up a flank with the other Sallie.)

    • Salamander
    - Extra Handler
(Everything-killer 2! Going up a flank with the other Sallie.)

Planning to play a bit defensively, luring and bottleneck'ing the enemy as he approaches, plus a few poisoned shots and a few flames coming in from the sides to try and mess with warmachines and... well anything I can get my claws on.
    -----------------------------------------------------------

Gonna try it out on sunday, I'll report back how it fares.

    Fixed!
    Damnit.
Realized two things as I went to bed last night.
The Skink Priest can't carry both a Dispel Scroll and a Plaque of Tepok since they are both Arcane Items.
The TG champion shouldn't carry around an item that negates the wardsave of the Slann behind him.
    Rather contra-productive.

I have to rethink this business.

    Svennebanan! :)

Yeah I thought so as well, I'll try to dish out as much magic damage as I possibly can instead of trying to stop the opponent.
Two channelers and "high" lvl spellcasters might help a bit with the dispelling anyway.
I'm going with Lore of Life on the Slann.
