While not everyone is keen on AoS I can say that I am a fan. I have started a small Lizardmen army and will be finishing a skink patrol to begin with.

    Here is my first model.

    A Skink Priest.

I love this little guy. Such a fun model to paint.

I really like the smooth transitions you were able to achieve with your highlights. Excellent job!

    Thanks for the compliments.

Ive really been having fun with the skinks ive been working on. Ive got a unit of 5 done so far and am just starting on a terradon rider. Really looking forward to painting that up

Neveroddoreven's was kind enough to give me some info on his own skinks which helped me get started.

A fine looking Priest, indeed! Looking forward to see the other models, especially the Terradon. Is it the new one or the old metallic one?

Very nice work on the skinks. Your painting technique is extremely well refined.

Very nice. How do you get your colour transitions (shade to highlight) so smooth?

@NIGHTBRINGER my paint scheme technique was actually achieved by accident. The color transitions are created with glazes. I basically just build up the highlights a couple layers then I use a base color glaze and cover the whole area. After this i follow up with the final highlights. I got some good advice from neveroddoreven on how he painted one of his skink priests. Lahmian medium is an amazing product for creating glazes and blending colors. If you haven't used it yet id recommend picking some up and experimenting with it.

What is Lahmian medium used for, I mean, if I recall cirrectly, isn't it just a thing to "thin" the paints or something like that?

That really is the basis of a glaze... Lahmian medium is better for thinning paints than just using water. Glaze is simply a thin, translucent film of color that's painted over a base coat.
