I was just wondering what sort of themed LM armies you guys have. Cities? Spawnings? Just wanted to start a thread for discussing and sharing ideas. I'll post mine when I have more time.

i theme my army around the lustria swamps with swampy bases on all my models and my jungle swarms are mixes of skinks and snakes just breaking the surface of the water on there base,

i have to say ive never come up with names, but my army evolved around the lustria campain ran a few years back and the need for a army to hold off the nurgle beastmen army that was gaining way to much ground

my main lizardmen is a a large forces of saurus, lead by my slann mage priest and backed up by 2 stegadons and some CoC i only use 10 skink skirmishers in this army as the theme is fighting nurgle i went with the idea, that skinks would not recover from wounds caused by nurgle blade were saurus would( and yes i know skinks survived the skaven plagues but it states in all books if you hit by a nurgle blade only the strongest survive.

i also have a skink army just on basic jungle bases with some models like terradons on temple stone bases as if to show they circle high up above the temple cities,
this one was created for a small campain with friends and use to be baised around the skink list in lustria,
but know is just a skink heavy list :d

I don't really have a theme, I'm just buying what I like the look of. I guess the theme of the armies I am making so far is big monsters with multiple stegs and a carnosaur.

My overall scenery theme is a ruined temple city as crumbleing rock is always cool. Army wise I have a Slaan so maybe he is just visiting to meditate.

My next temple I am thinking of making the one that the scaven have a giant burrow under and half collapsing it with a giand slimey tunnel comming out with a huge worn mud pit in front.

Thats on the shelf atm though as I am thinking about getting the hirst arts egyptian brick molds and tile molds to make it with.

Mine is infantry - nothing enough infantry can't solve in enough numbers with a little magic backup.

Thanks for the compliments, I am really happy with how the army turned out.

As for how I achieved what I did with the Stegadon, it was actually pretty easy. GW washes! I used those like crazy. Cover the model in one color, for me with the steg it was the foundation stone color (I don't remember the exact name off the top of my head), then I completely covered the model with the Sepia wash. In the end with no other painting the skin comes out looking like that. Finish the model with a little detail work on the scales and other odds and ends and you're done. So basically not including the howda, maybe 2 hours of work.

As for the Cold ones, I do prefer the older models, good thing it was what was given to me when I started this army a couple years ago. This army has for a long time been completely unpainted, only in the last few months did it turn into what it is now.

    Sounds simple enough ;)
I take it the scales are something like shadowgrey and white ?
And the saurusdudes... they look dark grey... how are they painted?
