Does any one else have the feeling that the new book stuff is a bad joke?
I mean the stat line compared to the cost of the models is insanely stupid, in a bad way.
The only new thing I will consider fielding are the rippers, but I need to make conversions as the rippers are plain ugly.
The dinos look as if their proportions are messed up,
Carno/Trog has a tiny head and over sized hands and feet.
Other sculpt is okay, but then they put something ugly on them to make the model unattractive. A 12 year old would probably like it, probably as I'm not sure.
... I can go on and on ... but is there a point. I tried to buy some of the new stuff, but each time I look at the models, I turn back, hoping that the DE release might be better.
    is it only me?

You are probably not alone, but people's tastes and opinions will vary. Personally, I like the new carnasaur kit, and will likely purchase one shortly. Similarly I will probably have two bastiladons in short order, although they might need some tweaks.

I think most of the stats are ok, though I think the monsters are a little light on wounds. And a few maybe just a touch heavy in points.

If you want to sit this one out, I don't blame you. Maybe dark elves will be a better release. But maybe not...
