well the usually answer for big monsters is shoot it with a lot of Skinks and pray for 6's also I'm gonna assume it regenerates so getting some fire damage on it would help with that, so maybe some salamanders or fire magic as well.

Well the most common thing to do when you have something you don't know how to get rid of is to use magic. If you run a slann, then most of the lores have a spell to deal with big things. Without a slann I would use an old blood with carnosaur, carnosaurs are excellent at ripping apart big creatures.

It has a shooting attack that it can use in close combat much like the Banshee's. So a single model within range is probably going to die fairly quickly.

I don't think it has Regen, but then VC have plenty of ways to add wounds onto a unit. It's supposed to have a 5+ save, so... skinks poisoning it to death is very much a possibility.

Your general anti-monster tactics should work. Just don't run in a single model; you'll loose it.

Have you considered the blades of reality on an OB. It has a pretty low Ld, but i assume it would be taken as a mount, but still together with lore of heavens, 3 or 4 hits could result in one failed test and then no more oversized bat. Also if it is used by itself then try and place temple guard near it with the flaming banner if it has regen with a scar vet with GW in the unit, then go hunting with a unit that can hit hard and will have a pretty good combat res againt it. Will have to look into the big bat some more.

ok thanks for the tips. The shooting attack is what worries me most. Does it get to stand and shoot if charged?

Terrorgheist has a 6+ regeneration save. Don't think it can stand and shoot, but can shoot if marched or in CC. Shooting attack is 2D6 + number of wounds left - unit's Ld = wounds with no AS.

Skinks will be great against it. So will the BoR.

It can also still shoot after charging and while in combat. Per the white dwarf issue that I was looking at yesterday.
