Hello Comrades!

So before even owning any miniatures I am already planning how I want mine to look as well as trying to picture what the end result will be.

Teal and green palette's are clearly very popular but for myself I just want to see/try something different. Sooo...... here we have the "TLixa's Shield" host

Shield.jpg

This has really caught my eye but I'd really appreciate some help in deciding the best colours to use and process for the job.....I'm really lost here as I am struggling to perceive what the colours here really are.

For example I am not sure if the flesh should be grey or something closer to white with an extremely small ting of green?

Should the back scales be Incubi darkness or Stegadon scale Green with a coela greeshade wash?

Unfortunately I am the type of person than isn't happy unless he get's it looking right.

(Also happy begin a paint blog once I get started)

Thank you for your time and feedback.

I would paint the Skin in Celestra Grey. Then thin a mixture of Drakenhof Nightshade and Coliea Greenshade with Lahmian medium until the color looks correct. Thinly glaze the Grey skin amd build up the color blend as the scales darken. The scales appear to be Steggadon Scale Scale.

Thanks so much for that feedback, even though this will be trial and error its a great starting point. I foresee a lot of batch painting in my future!

Nice scheme and not to far away from Tlazcotl’s Gaze your just using orange instead of purple and yellow.

I have the colours wrote down I used for that scheme so I will post them here for you later.

Hey Crowsfoot!

I wanted to give you time without pestering you immediately, but I'd love to know if you managed to find a note of those colours?
