so i was looking into the Conquest GT tournament and it looks like they don't judge for composition. As i was reading the rules, they judge for battle points, painting, and sportsmanship but nothing about composition. does that mean that i could actually use the stampede of 7 stegadons?? 3 EotG, 1 chief w/ warspear, 2 steggys and 1 ancient?? do you guys think i will get marked down for my sportsmanship?? i mean i'm a fun guy to plan against if that helps!! just a thought, because you never know what other players would bring.

I don't think that sportsmanship plays into it in terms of score. I always viewed sportsmanship more as letting people get away with things they have forgotten, like skipping a magic phase due to pressure and excitement, or letting them make other adjustments that should have been made earlier. The same goes for rules lawyering. The more lawyering, the lower the score, etc.

The issue I have is that I personally believe you want to make an army that is entertaining to fight. No one wants to fight pure gunlines, 20 power dice armies, etc. So put yourself in the shoes of your opponent and see if you would find it fun to battle your army. If you think so, then you are all good, and since you are a fun guy to play against, that could work for you.

With no comp score penalties though, even if you did a stampede I can see tooled up Daemon and Dark Elf armies running over that list and running away with the tourney. Just my opinion though.
