Old time warhammer player, first time TOW player. I've only played one 1000pt starter game so far, but my mind's already a-brewing. I've been polishing this list, trying to squeeze as many of my beloved big dinosaurs into a 1999pt game as possible. We're using a Rule of Three limitation, hence the larger skink unit sizes, and sadly, fewer of them than I'd like! It's been a squeeze but I simply love the idea of four stegadons, side-by-side, quad-charging their way across the battlefield! I think I'm happy with the below, but I'd love some feedback. Sotek's Monster Stomp 1995/1999 CHARACTERS (998/999pts) Skink Priest 390 pts General, Level 2 Wizard (Illusion) Ancient Stegadon (Engine of the Gods) Glyph Necklace, Hand weapon, Light armour (Calloused hide) Skink Chief 319 pts Battle Standard Bearer Stegadon (Giant bow) Talisman of Protection, Cavalry spear, Light armour (Calloused hide) Skink Chief 289 pts Stegadon (Giant bow) Enchanted Shield, Luckstone, Cavalry spear, Light armour (Calloused hide) CORE (562/499pts) 22 Saurus Warriors 322 pts Hand weapons, Shields, Heavy armour (Scaly skin), Champion, Standard bearer 15 Skink Skirmishers 80 pts Javelins, Shields, Light armour (Calloused hides), Vanguard 15 Skink Skirmishers 80 pts Javelins, Shields, Light armour (Calloused hides), Vanguard 15 Skink Skirmishers 80 pts Javelins, Shields, Light armour (Calloused hides), Vanguard SPECIAL (180/999pts) Bastiladon 180 pts Solar Engine, Fourth Skink crew member RARE (255/499pts) Ancient Stegadon 255 pts Engine of the Gods
Your general has a leadership of 6, ouch. Or does the champion Saurus end up the general? Haha You can't take vanguard multiple units Spear are awesome on Saurus imo, I'd find room for them 15 skinks are painful to manoeuvre I'd go for units of 10 I also like additional hand weapons personally (over cav spear) on skinks because if you get the charge you're going to do very well anyway because of impact hits. Also there is no reason to take a shield.
