Saw this yesterday, thought it was cleaver. Death Slaan with Soul Blight. 3 Sotek Bastiladons Temple guard and 2 stubborn heroes (Gor rok, 1 with crown) Once the stubborn blocks grabbed the enemy, the Bastiladons closed in and started pumping out the hits. Slaan bubbled the soul blight to drop toughness, and the 2D6 hits from each started to really add up. On sorry block of dark elf warriors (60 strong) got caught by all 3, and took 6D6 hits that wounded on 4+. All the chaff (dark riders, harpies, shades) just disappeared. They even put a wound on a unkillable dreadlord on dark peg. I think the Sotek Bastiladons are going to work better the more you have. -Matt
I was thinking of something similar: 2 sotec bastidons (to regenerate swarms) 2-3 units of swarms Tenehuan (so swarms won't crumble) 2 saurus spear blocks. the idea was to line them up so they would suport each outher the best.: [spears]-[swarm]-[swarm]-[spears] --[sotec]-----[Tenehuan]-- [sotec]-- (or something like that)
No, I mean the Sotek one. The snakes do 2D6 S2 hits on all enemies within D6". If you can crowd into combat, some units are taking 4D6 or even 6D6 hits. By dropping the opponents toughness (soul blight) you're increasing the value of these S2 hits. -Matt
I like the combo, but maybe use Shadow instead of Death. They got a better Toughness sapping hex, you can make your Swarms hit more often with Miasma and Swarms will hit at S10 if you get Okham's Razor.
I really like both lores. But in the end, I like the power die generate snipes. Shadows hexes are RIP which usually pull power dice away to counter them. I see shadow as having a defensive boost to the lore, while death is pure offense. As for mindrazor, latest FAQ says you use the generals leadership. I had a vampire lord make a zombie horde WS1 and S10. -Matt
