8th Ed. Trying Lizardmen 2400..

    As I do, when every book comes out and I grab it, I try to Theoryhammer myself a list of something I would personally like to play after reading the fluff and finding what units I like the best (A Throgg and Festus WoC army for example..) I have done the same with Lizardmen, but since they are an army I never played or never played against in the past in my small local scene, I didn't have a clue what to do! So I just went through and did what I could!

    Any feedback in any direction would be appreciated!

    maybe soul of stone on the slann since he is both your general and your bsb he is worth protecting a little more..

    Since he is stuck inside of the big Temple Guard Bunker, won't he be rather hard to get at though? Especially considering he passes all "Look out, Sir!" Rolls automatically.

    yes he will be impossible to hit with cannons or stone lobbers..

    but i'm hinting at the miscast results 1-4 and 10-12 wich are a real hassel..

    Is "Soul of Stone" that useful though? Altering it by one seems kind of minor..

    I could drop "Focus Of Mystery" for it, since I am not THAT sold on High Magic. I was thinking possibly Life or Metal for him. (Metal since my meta is a lot of WoC players and Demigrpyh Heavy Empire Lists)

    In another thread someone pointed out that soul of stone reduces the odds of a dimensional cascade by 50%. That ALONE is totally worth it.

    Obviously he can now move out of the unit of TG, so if there's no cannon etc miscasts can be largely mitigated just by moving him out of the unit.

    Where did you plan on putting Gor-Rok? Eitherways, seems like 2 pretty capable combat blocks with the saurus and TG - planning on hordes for both?

    Perhaps slightly lacking high strength, but with such strong magic getting wildform off shouldn't be too tricky.

    Any particular reason for the champs in the terradons?

    Hmmm..Well maybe it would be worth dropping the "LoreMaster - High Magic" gift and replacing it with that Soul of Stone thing in that case.

    I was going to put Gor-Rok inside of the Saurus and running both the Saurus and TG as Hordes, since when they Predatory Fighter gets FAQ'd to include the second and third rank I should get my use out of them even more so, especially with the Beast buffs on them.

    I was considering dropping the Terradons to 3 each, no champs or bolas, then I could buff one unit of Salamanders to have 2 Salamanders and 8 Skinks, a unit of Salamanders with one Salamander and 4 Skinks then I could actually take Stone, Convergence and Mystery on the Slann
