I am very new to fantasy in general. I have played 40K for a year and LOTR too. But I did a bit of research and here is what I came up with. Lords- n/a under 2000 points. Heroes- Gor-Rok. Chakax. Oxyotl. ----------------- 710pts. ----------------- Core- 24 Skinks + Musician. + Banner. + Skink Brave. ------------------ 150pts. ------------------ 16 Saurus Warriors + All with spears. + Musician. + Banner. ------------------ 210pts. ------------------ Special- 6 Chameleon Skinks + Stalker ------------------- 78pts. ------------------- 10 Temple Guards + Revered Guardian - Sword of Battle + Banner - Piranha Blade ------------------- 243pts ------------------- 3 Kroxigors + Kroxigor Ancient ------------------- 185pts ------------------- Rare- Ancient Stegadon. My plan of action was to have Chakax attached to the Temple Guards, Gor-Rok with the Saurus Warriors, Oxyotl with the Chameleons, and the 3 Kroxigors with the Skinks. Have the Ancient Stegadon distract to main enemy fire. Whilst my Temple Guard charge behind it. With the Skinks and the Warriors attacking from a different angle. And the Chameleons providing fire support when everyone is in melee combat. OR secure objectives. Thanks for reading TOTAL 1851pts
Um good list to make it better u wanna add some magic id say scrap ypur lords and add a slann mage priest with magic items:cupped hands of tje old ones and give him becalming cogitation and higher state of conscuosness + lore of life and instead if normal skinks if ur doing 2k pts have more templegaurd as their our best cc unit if possible have a hord of 30 they kick a**have about 36 skink skirmishers with blowpipes and around 20 saurus maybe add avskink priest lv 2 with ancient stegadon and the engine of the gods of course this is just what i do experiment and see wht works play a bit and settle on a list ull do grrat
Also u cant give a banner bearer magic weapons and theycan only use 1 weapon at once anyway just so you know
I have the codex here. Under the upgrade banner carrier it has ad magic weapon up to x amount. Also. I can not have a Lord as my army is under 2000. Or is that not a rule just codex recommendation?
Which version of army book are u using it might be old tg stndrd bearer can only have magic stndrd and also u can have lords long as it is in the percentages
And whoo wht happened to the percentages m8 710 pts heroes !!! Soz m8 but this army list is kinda not within the rules of warhammer do how did u pick ur army was it with the choosing characters and troops section cause tht is old now you must choose ur army according to percentages 25% of total points must be core up to 25% may be lords/heroes up to 25% may be rare and up to 50% must can be special its in the warhammer 8th ed rulebook just ignore what the army book says gw kinda screwed it up
This is just my opinion but i think lizardmen lords and heros are really expensive for what they do, for that maney points you could run a untouchable slann with amazing magic, I think the only really worth while special character is tetto eko otherwise you could just make a better lord out of a scar vet or old blood
Yeah, your stuff is all messed up. That list wont be allowed into any type of organized play. As to the poll question, Salamanders win every time.
Poll says my vote is invalid so ill just say it here: I would choose salamanders over Ancient steg for rare points, but remember that you can still have ancient stegs as mounts for skink heroes, here they use hero points instead of rare, so if you really want you can have both!
Also if I was you id just take a skink cheif with a war spear on the anceint, it can be devestating if you get the charge off
Wow, firstly can we keep the level of English in the posts to a good standard, not everyone is a native speaker and text speak can confuse them and it is also more effort for me to understand I have both the current and 6th edition army book and neither say a TG standard bearer can wield a magic weapon, I'm unsure of where that came from Also, the rules on how to choose an army in the army book are no longer valid, they have been surpassed by the 8th edition rule book, no longer is it based on number of choices, rather based on percentages, for example you can only have 25% of your army allowance spend on heroes in this case 500 pts, also lords are allowed at all points levels now provided they fit in the percentage limit However if this army was written to the rules in the army book (which are no longer current) this army would not work well on the battle field, the skink unit will die very quickly and you have no wizards so no magic phase and would get dominated in that phase, compounded the loses. I would recommend you purchase the 8th edition rule book to read the new rules on army composition, however in the meanwhile, read around the forum looking at other lists and see what percentages they use and base it around then, At 2000 points a 400-500 point Slann (so kitted out with abilities and items) will be a key unit and good base to build your army round
