AoS Understanding points

Sup guys im fairly new to aos or even table top games for that matter but anyways im having trouble understanding points for matched play. so is a unit of say 5 knights the same price as a unit of 20 knights?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but im trying to put a army together to go play my first game. Any help would be greatly appriated

Not a dumb question at all! Welcome to AoS!

The points cost listed is for the minimum unit size. In the case of knights, they cost 120 points per 5 knights.

5 knights - 120 points
10 knights - 240 points
15 knights -360 points
20 knights - 480 points

Now here is the kicker- say you wanted to field 12 knights... They still cost 360 points because you pay the minimum unit cost for UP TO the minimum number of models in the unit.
